Surprise

Today I received an email from an individual who saw some of my information on rootsweb I believe. It turns out that one of the women in my line was an Algonquin indian. She was my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother. That would me me 1/4096 native (that I know of – who knows what else is out there). Not to get too excited, but that is a whopping 0.000244140625% – not exactly a huge number, but it does add something interesting to my lineage.

It never ceases as to the surprises that lie in store for me with the genealogy.
