Problem Fixed & Update

Okay, the phpGedView problem has been fixed. I owe it to Jim Carey (no, not that one) over at Sourceforge.net for the fix. Pedigree files will display at normal now.

I found a few minutes yesterday to code a couple pages. Under the tidbits page you’ll find two new active links – one for Thomas Jefferson and the other for the War of 1812. I typed in a letter that TJ wrote in 1812 about the easy conquest of Canada – I thought that was pretty amusing. The War of 1812 page has only been started – there is no content yet. Why the War of 1812 page you ask? Good question. My great-great-great-great grandfather, Isaac Oligny, fought in that war on the Canadian side so I thought that I would add some history to the site and let people know why the U.S. and Canada fought each other during that time period. Gotta put that history degree to work somehoe, right mom?

There will most likely be a short hiatus on coding until next week as I’ll be away Friday thru Tuesday. I’ll gather my info and get it ready, but probably won’t post it for a little while. When did life get so freakin’ busy?

Watch out for snakes,
Steve

I have been doing French-Canadian genealogy for about 14 years. I enjoy doing research for other people who are new to genealogy and want to discover their French-Canadian lineages. Drop me a line at srock@saurette.com and let me give you a hand!
