So, Who Wants to Do This?

Okay, I admit it, I’m burned out on dead family members. Now that I think about it, there are some living family members who I’m burned out on too. You know who you are – don’t give me that look. I have to say that I have done none, zero, zilch, genealogy for a while now. I find that it is always best to take a nice break from it after working on it for a while. That way, when I come back to it, I have “fresh” eyes so to speak.

So, if you’re looking for grand revelations, you aren’t getting any. If you’re looking for monumental updates, you aren’t getting any. If you’re looking for my whimsical, offbeat take on things, you aren’t getting any. Well, maybe some.

I’ve found that my attention has been focused on the upcoming election this November. I’m burned out from all the campaigning from both sides. I’m not even sure why we, as a country, are going to have an election this year. In my opinion, it won’t end up being close but it will end up in the courts because John “Vietnam” Kerry will decide that the American people really meant to elect him as president. Sorry, John, we just can’t trust you with the highest office in the land. I thought he did well in the debate – polished, slick, never giving actual answers to questions posed. He’d make a fine senator from a liberal state. What scares me the most is that people don’t know who John Kerry is, and if they elect him, then they’re going to find out just what kind of person he really is – NOT good for this country.

So, if you’re in favor of electing a U.N. loving, tax raising, defense cutting, French courting, money grubbing, diversity enabling, snob-nosed President, then by all means, pick John F(ubar) Kerry.

There you go – my rant for the day. I wanted to fill this space up with something, and I obviously don’t have any family history to relay at this point. So, my question now is – who wants to do the genealogy?

Cheerio,
Steve

I have been doing French-Canadian genealogy for about 14 years. I enjoy doing research for other people who are new to genealogy and want to discover their French-Canadian lineages. Drop me a line at srock@saurette.com and let me give you a hand!
