Actual Genealogy News

I received an email today from a Saurette relation who lives in Rhode Island. This is proof that positive that this site is actually viewed by people interested in genealogy! I’m so glad. I was wondering if anybody ever read it to glean information or not. I know my own extended family doesn’t seem to care a whole lot, but I enjoy doing it and I hope that there are plenty of people out there who are “shoe string” relations that enjoy learning about our past.

I am looking forward to receiving some information on some Rhode Island Saurettes soon. I will do my best to update database the when I have the time. This time of year, however, is very busy. We’ll be travelling a bit and having family here – so I make no firm promises on when new data gets posted, but when it does – you’ll see the news here.

Anybody else chomping at the bit for Tuesday and the release of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? You can bet that I’ll have my copy at lunchtime and be bleary-eyed the next day. Nothin’ says Christmas more than watching almost 12 hours of movies in one day.

I have been doing French-Canadian genealogy for about 14 years. I enjoy doing research for other people who are new to genealogy and want to discover their French-Canadian lineages. Drop me a line at srock@saurette.com and let me give you a hand!
