I have been doing French-Canadian genealogy for about 14 years. I enjoy doing research for other people who are new to genealogy and want to discover their French-Canadian lineages. Drop me a line at srock@saurette.com and let me give you a hand!

Hi Steve…just found your site. Are you done with genealogy? I’ve just recently found that my 2x gr. grandfather was Francis Soret LaRose who was born in Canada in Dec. 1849 and died in Ogdensburg, NY in 1911.
In the 1880 census he shows his mother as Emma. Think he had a brother Paul…
I would like to let you know I will no longer have the website http://www.bigkids.us in operation after 10 Feb 2018. (You included a link to it on your OLIGNY page). My new genealogy website is http://www.findingfolks.com. It still includes OLIGNY (OLINGEY) but it has a more modern look.
