As you can see from this page, there is a lot of information that is unknown about Julien and his first wife. I did find a record indicating that he was a farmer – it was most likely in the 1881 Canadian Census.

His wife, Felicite, obviously died before 1881 as I cannot find any record for a divorce.

**UPDATE October 2009**

I found a death record for Julien’s second wife, Ernestine Beaudin. She died January 6th, 1882 – just 13 days after marrying Julien. She was buried in St. Romain, Huntingdon County, Quebec – which is about 20 miles from St. Remi. The death record mentions that Julien Oligny was of the parish of St. Remi and a farmer. Ernestine was only 26 years old or there about at the time of her death. Julien, at the time of her death, was in his late 50s. Huh. I wonder if he married again. So far, nothing has been seen to that effect.
