Joseph was born September 27, 1771 in the town of St-Jean-Baptiste, of Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Saurette and Marie-Catherine Gautier dite St-Germain. He married Marguerite Marotte dite Labonte January 27, 1794 in St-Mathias, Quebec, Canada. Joseph died March 25, 1825, in St-Jean-Baptiste.

Joseph and Marguerite had 15 children that I know of, but not all of them survived to adulthood. I do not have much more information other than the vital statistics that you see here.
I’m hoping that a trip to the town of St-Jean-Baptiste and the surrounding areas would yield some more information such as burial places and the like.

Notice that all of them use some variation of Saurette-Larose. None of them had made a switch to Larose at the time of marriage.
